To address the growing need for legal immigration services in the District of Columbia, the D.C. 酒吧 公益性服务 Center, along with many partners, sponsor an 移民法律建议 & 咨询诊所 to provide free consultations to area residents.
The clinic provides legal information, brief advice, and referral services. Bilingual attorneys and interpreters are available for clients who speak a variety of languages. Visitors to the clinic will be able to receive assistance from volunteer attorneys with civil legal problems governed by U.S. 移民法. Visitors to the clinic are encouraged to bring all documents concerning their legal issue. All services at the clinic are provided free of charge.
If brief service is not enough to resolve the problem or if a different type of service is required, clinic volunteers will attempt to refer individuals to a more appropriate legal or social service provider.
All individuals affected by the Trump Administration’s rescission of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) are encouraged to attend. Such individuals will receive consultation and advice regarding their options. While the clinic does not complete renewal applications, individuals will receive appropriate referrals, 如果适用的话.
